By accessing and using the AI Detector API website (aidetectorapi.com) and its services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Service Description

AI Detector API provides an API service for detecting AI-generated text content. The service allows developers to integrate AI detection capabilities into their applications via HTTP REST endpoints. The service is provided on an "as-is" basis, and we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time.

3. API Usage and Fair Use

You agree to use the AI Detector API only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe upon the rights of others or restrict their use and enjoyment of the service.

4. User Accounts and Authentication

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials. You agree not to share your API keys with third parties or expose them in client-side code. Any unauthorized use of your account is your responsibility. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use the AI Detector API for any of the following:

• Illegal activities or activities that violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harassment, threats, or abuse of any individual or entity
• Spreading misinformation, disinformation, or false information at scale
• Circumventing security measures or attempting to gain unauthorized access
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to derive the underlying algorithms
• Bulk reselling or redistribution of the service without authorization
• Violating intellectual property rights of others
• Activities that harm minors or exploit children

Violation of this policy may result in immediate account termination and legal action.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

The AI Detector API, including all source code, algorithms, documentation, and related materials, is the property of AI Detector API and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for your internal business purposes.

You retain all rights to the content you submit to the API for detection. By submitting content, you grant us a license to use the metadata and aggregated statistics (without identifying your content) to improve our service.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL AI DETECTOR API BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

8. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. AI detection results are probabilistic and may not be 100% accurate. We make no guarantees regarding accuracy rates or performance metrics.

9. Service Uptime and Availability

While we strive to maintain high availability, we do not guarantee 99.9% uptime or any specific level of service availability. For information about our current service status, please visit status.aidetectorapi.com.

We may perform scheduled maintenance, and we will attempt to provide advance notice via email and the status page. Emergency maintenance may be performed without notice.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the API immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you violate any provision of these terms or engage in behavior we determine to be harmful or inappropriate.

Upon termination, your right to use the API ceases immediately. We may delete your account data 30 days after termination, unless required to retain it by law.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the United States.

12. Dispute Resolution

Before initiating legal action, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at support@aidetectorapi.com. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, you agree to submit to binding arbitration rather than litigation.

13. Payment Terms

For paid tier users, you agree to pay all charges that incur to your account. Billing is on a monthly basis unless you select a different billing cycle. Charges are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice.

14. Third-Party Links and Content

Our website may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites. Your use of third-party sites is subject to their terms and privacy policies.

15. Changes to Terms
